1300 Students of DPS Join "Khushi" Mission

DPS, Udaipur to take up ‘Eradication of Child Labour’ from Udaipur

Delhi Public School Udaipur extends heartfelt thanks to Vedanta’s team for enlightening and motivating Dipsites (DPS Students) for this noble cause –“KHUSHI” – Partners in Creating Happiness. We deeply feel the need of addressing the issue of nurturing the under-privileged children of the society. It is a small step towards our service to the nation and we are very happy to align with Vedanta in executing this mission - rather a noble cause.

The students and faculty members have responded quite actively and enthusiastically to this mission and are working to find new ways to spread the awareness.

To further upscale the contribution, DPS, Udaipur wishes to prepare a team of volunteers to be guided by the experts from Vedanta Group, who in turn will educate the other students, staff and parents about the “KHUSHI” mission.

We would also like to incorporate Delhi Public Schools outside Udaipur to join hands for this noble cause and extend assistance to sensitize people about the large section of our society that is deprived of education-nutrition-health.

Aligning with this thought provoking initiative, Delhi Public SchoolUdaipur announces to take up ‘Eradication of Child Labour’ from Udaipur in association with “KHUSHI” as its mission. The students and staff members are enthusiastic about taking up this challenge and take a pledge to work diligently for the removal of Child Labour from the city of lakes.

We also plan to make the poor people aware of the need of sending their children to ‘Vedanta Bal Chetna Anganwadis’ through street plays and word of mouth.

The volunteer students under the guidance of “KHUSHI” will reach out to the NGOs by requesting them align with the project. Teacher volunteers propose to act as counselors to sensitize the masses.

DPS proposes to organize different competitions to sensitize the masses and also organize Inter School Level competitions towards spreading the message on ‘Eradication of child labour’. Sharing books, colours, stationery etc. with the under-privileged children can motivate them towards Anganwadis.

DPS Udaipur has made an effort with the help of Vedanta Group to embark on a new mission that emphasizes on the nurturing of young minds and help develop Global Citizens!

We are committed to bring "KHUSHI" on the faces of these under-privileged children.

"Khushi" Spreads in Delhi Public School

Delhi Public School, Udaipur, decided to spread "Khushi" by spending time with the small children of Vedanta Hindustan Zinc Anganwadi Centres at Udaipur. The students started their interaction with Anganwadi children with morning prayer followed by Gayatri Mantra. The bond was further strengthened by having rich nutritious breakfast with these children. To bring "Khushi" on the faces of these children, the DPS students had prepared some small 'skits', primarily based on moral stories. ‘Pappu Pass Ho Gaya' based on importance of education was the one most liked by the children. The skit motivated them to study in the formal schools, just like them. The students later involved the small children to make different articles from the waste paper - like paper flowers and animals.

The ‘Khushi’ of the Anganwadi children could be seen through the sheer excitement and enthusiasm with which they were participating in all the activities. Same was with the DPS students who were delighted after spending time in their first ever visit to any such anganwadi in rural area, which was just to spread the message of "Khushi" on the faces of these children.
